Incredible condition. This Rolleiflex 2.8E with 80mm f/2.8 Xenotar lens was bought at an estate sale and is cosmetically as clean as they come. I sent it to the BEST Rollei repair guy around in 2001. Harry Fleenor: Oceanside Camera Repair, Manhattan Beach, Ca. (His Repair Label is in the camera and pictured below). Henry only accepts a few cameras a year. He is retired from being the best authorized Rollei repair guy you could get. The shutter was sluggish so it was overhauled and a new main spring was installed (perfect now). The transport mechanism was stiff so it was overhauled as well. Total repair cost was $283.00. (Henry was not cheap but this camera deserved the best) The camera is ready for a serious new owner! A collector would be pleased to have this high quality example of a Rollei in a collection. Serial # 1,655,278 places the camera in the 1956-57 time frame. It is the Meterless E model. The Schneider-Kreuznach Xenotar 2.8/80mm lens is a coated lens and is clean and unblemmished. I am including the chrome lens caps that are original to the camera. I asked Henry if he thought the camera was MINT. His expert opinion was: "This is a very clean camera but not MINT. There are a few small chips in the paint. Henry found 3 small chips that I had not even noticed. 1- Paint chip back of hood. 2- small chip front of nameplate. 3- small chip bottom front body casting. Basically this is a NEAR MINT Vintage Rolleiflex. Bid with confidence as I have a perfect 100% approval on eBay. My return policy is simple; You change your mind for any reason and send it back for a refund. (You pay for return shipping and insurance) I am packing the camera in a strong wooden box that is foam filled so keep it and use it if you decide this camera is not for you.
