The JVC CU-VD10 Share Station DVD recorder works with your
compatible JVC Everio hard drive camcorder to make great-looking DVD
copies of your home movies — without ever turning on a computer.
Just connect your camcorder to the Share Station with the supplied
USB cable, use the cam's LCD screen to select and organize the scenes
you want to transfer, then pop in a blank DVD and push "record." You
can copy a 1-hour movie recorded at the Everio's highest quality
setting in approximately 30 minutes. Play your discs on virtually any
newer DVD player.
You can also connect the CU-VD10 to a PC for DVD burning and playback.

Features
Overview:
The primary purpose of the CU-VD10 is to record directly from JVC's
Everio hard disc drive camcorders to DVD without the need for a
computer. It can also be connected to a computer and used as an
external DVD drive.
Material to Record:
When the Everio camcorder is connected to the CU-VD10 DVD burner (using
the USB cable included with the burner) a record select menu appears on
the camcorder's display. You can choose to record a specific event,
specific date, existing playlist, history (identical to DVDs previously
recorded), or all scenes. After you select a category you can choose
specific scenes to record. Once enough material is highlighted to fill
a DVD, the display shows scenes for a second DVD, then third DVD, etc.
Auto Finalize:
Once a disc has recorded it is finalized automatically and formatted so
that playback begins automatically when it is inserted into a DVD
player.
Supported Media: The disc must be blank when you start recording, the following disc types are compatible:
- DVD-R: 2x to 16x
- DVD-RW: 2x to 4x (6x only when connected to a computer)
3-1/2" Discs: 3-1/2" (8cm) discs can be used in the CU-VD10 but only when connected to a computer.
Region Code: The factory setting is region 1. If you move the unit to another region, the region code can be changed. Caution: The region code can only be changed four times, on the fourth change the region code setting becomes permanent.
Software and Computer Information
Windows Software:
If integrated with a computer the CU-VD10's flexibility is expanded, a
CD-ROM is included with Power2Go 4 for writing video, image, audio, and
other data files to data DVDs when using the burner with a computer.
