The DRV-100 is designed to fit in a standard 5.25-inch disk drive PC bay. The cassette compartment slides in and out of the outer chassis to make insertion and ejection of the mini cassette easy. Its off-white simple color and design make it suitable for PC operating environments. The DRV-100 is equipped with i.LINK (DV IN/OUT) connection which is based on the standard. With a single cable connection to this 4-pin DV IN/OUT connector a DV signal is transmitted to and downloaded from the PC/Mac system. This means that a full DV editing system can be configured by using the DRV-100 and a 3rd party capture board interfaced via a DV cable.
