Here is a very nice pair of one the greatest porro 8x30 binoculars ever made from the finest optics company in the world. These binoculars are pre-war and in beautiful original condition. The optics and the craftsmanship are wonderful. They are joy to hold, to use and to own. This is a fine example of a very desirable and collectable pair of binoculars.
The serial # 237326.
This pair is almost perfect condition. The optics are uncoated, flawless to my eyes and feature the large rear eyepieces. The IPD and diopter adjustments are a little stiff but I have always preferred it that way. Center focus is smooth and all adjustments work as they should. Collimation is perfect.
They are very light weight so I am assuming that they are the aluminum chassis model.
The original case and both straps are included and all are in good shape. Leitz cases from this era have never survived as well as others but everything is there and attached. The "tongue" on the clasp portion has been stapled back on (see photos) and the strap for the case has wear.
