This auction is for a Rolleiflex Automat, serial number 10411xx, with a Schneider Xenar 75mm f3.5 lens. A very high quality German made camera.
This Rollei line of TLR cameras are considered of the finest made and have remained one of the most desirable cameras ever by photographers and collectors.
The 75mm lens is considered normal focal length. It sees as your eye does. The camera takes 120 format film and yields 12 exposures 6x6cm. The large negative combined with the incredible sharpness of the Schneider lens allows you to have sharp images that can be enlarged as much as any photo may need to be. The viewfinder is a waist level type, you frame your photo by looking down into the camera.
The camera is in good cosmetic condition with average wear for its age/ Cosmetically, 8. Though it fires, a service for the shutter is necessary for picture taking, this will cost between $75-125.00. No dents or dings. Lens is optically clean.
