Mamiya 6 Folding Camera No:306221. Fixed Lens is Olympus D Zuiko F.C 7.5cm/3.5 No:106322.
COUPLED RANGEFINDER CAMERA.
For some strange reason digits 0:1:2:2:3:6 have been used on the lens and on the camera body.
This camera had a full overhaul 4 years ago. Ross Yerkes of Los Angeles performed this service for me. Shutter was overhauled, BELLOWS REPLACED and a complete mechanical service was performed. I have used it for about 4 rolls of film since.
In this model, back moves in and out to focus. Lens standard stays in one place.
When Film is advanced, the shutter gets loaded automatically.
Body covering in good shape. Black painted areas on the body beautiful.
Camera is in VERY VERY GOOD condition showing minor signs of use. I would rate this camera as 9/10.
Lens has some coating specs on the front element, but these have no affect on the pictures, this camera takes.
Aperture blades are dry and move perfectly.
Focus is Smooth.
Body has NO dings or dents - Just minor signs of use and wear on the leather covering.
All Shutter speeds work - Accuracy of shutter - NOT GUARANTEED.
Camera NOT equipped with a self timer or with a Light Meter.
Comes with mamiya Auto-Up II close up device in original box. Box shows age and wear. Optics on Auto Up - Perfect.
This is an old and used camera - Please expect it to be so.
Made in Japan.
During focussing front lens area does not move, but the back moves in and out with the wheel at the back - Rangefinder works perfectly :-
Please note the beautiful black paint on the metal of this camera :-
Glass is clean - R means flash reflections in the lens and not a flaw :-
Comes with Mamiya Auto Up Model-II, marked 20"-12" 50cm-30cm.
Following Pictures taken with this camera :-
In this auction, the only thing on offer is ONE Mamiya 6 Folding Camera Body No: 306221, with Fixed Lens D-Zuiko F.C.3.5/7.5cm No:106322 with Auto Up II in original Box. Nothing else is Included.
This is a very rare item and will be hard to find in this condition.
I get asked why shipping is so much higher to some countries. Packages to the following 4 countries get delivered religiously :-
Canada : USA : UK : Japan and to these countries, I ship regular air mail, without tracking numbers, but with proof of mailing.
I have had enormous delivery/customs delay in other countries. Buyers want answers and I cannot provide any information, without tracking numbers. I end up refunding the entire amount paid to me. I have had to decide that to the Rest of the World, I will only ship X-Press Post, with tracking numbers.
Shipping in US Funds :-
Within Canada - $20.00.
USA - $30.00.
UK : Japan - $35.00.
Following must travel with tracking numbers only :-
All other countries (Except Australia/NewZealand/Taiwan) $55.00.
Australia/NewZealand/Taiwan. $60.00.
Please study shipping carefully before bidding.
Let us NOT try to re-negotiate shipping after auction is over - PLEASE.
Shipping means :-
Postage : Packing Materials : Insurance : Gasoline to Drive to Post Office.
Not to mention line ups at the Post Office or atleast 20 minutes of packing time.
Shipping Label which the customer receives does not show all charges paid at this end.
Pay with MO : PayPal.
Duties/Taxes - Buyers Sole Responsibility.
Once again - Please study shipping before you bid and do ask questions, if you have any.
On Jul-20-08 at 11:05:00 PDT, seller added the following information:At the request of a potential buyer, I am adding two close up pictures of the lens to show the coating specs on the front element. I can see them with a magnifying loupe. There are a few coatings missing on the front element. The pictures this lens takes are perfect. What may be that this Zuiko lens had soft coatings, which are coming off. One could call them cleaning marks. These marks are not indentations into the lens but just the coatings have come off.
Please govern your bids accordingly and if the imperfections on the front element do not suit your need, there must be another Mamiya 6 for sale. If someone withdrew their bids, I will have no hard feeling.
White spots in the following two pictures are flash reflections, but the lines in the middle of the lens in the 2nd picture is what we are talking about.
