Vintage Lens Made by R. Morrison, N.Y.
Presented here are items from a very large collection
of cameras, lenses and other photographic items that have been stored for a
number of years. The next items are lenses of various ages and applications.
Here for your consideration is a brass mounted lens with the following engraving
on it: “R. Morrison N.Y. No. 1097 D”. This lens has a Waterhouse
stop slot but no stops with it. The lens also has a flange on it of more recent
manufacture. The collector went to considerable expense to have flanges made
for a number of his lenses. The focal length of the lens is approximately 13
inches. The lens surfaces are clear and clean wit only a few light scratches on
the outer surfaces. The size of the lens is: Length 2 3/8 inches, Barrel diameter
2 3/16 inches and flange diameter 4 inches. I’ll be glad to answer questions.
