Up for your consideration is an unbelievable chance to own a one of a kind vehicle. This auction is for a 1949 Hudson patrol car. I know before I start recieving emails about a Hudson Police car there was a 1951 posted for sale on the net. I had been doing research on this car. The '51 was from the state of Mo. It still had its id. It looked like it was rescued from a salvage yard. It was outfitted the same as this minus all the radio equipment and looked like the car was parked there for years. It looked nearly identical to the one pictured here. Hudson as a Police car? Yes! For good reason Hudson was not only a fast car but a very durable. It was believed this car was used in service well into the 1960's. It is very possible in a small town. This is an early surviving example of an authentic patrol car. This car was brought to Ohio in 2002. It had been in storage as the former owner has passed. It was handed down to the son of the deceased. The purchase price a whopping $14K . The two from Ohio who purchased the car were friends and one had connection to the car. It was not offered on the open market. As the story goes another interested party who I can only say is a famous car collector and a TV personality at the time wanted the car too but the family sold it to their friend instead. The Ohio connection purchased the car with the thought of selling to Mr. Car Collector/TV Personality. The two had a falling out before any deal could be made and as with most partner deals go, the partnership was dissolved and one guy ended up with the car. Long story short. The guy who then owned the car was not a car guy at all.He just kept the expensive car put away. I first saw the car in several years ago and was very intrigued. With all the vintage Motorola equipment. It also has a sinister tail light kill switch. Lights and sirens worked. It was running and driving but looked much as it does now. Fast forward to 2008. The car is pictured here and is available for sale. I haven't run the car. It will need a cosmetic and mechanical restoration. I will entertain offers or trades on just about anything. I like unusual. With the car is its radio equipment and a very early radar unit. There is an old uniform and various other documents including a copy of an article that was done on this vehicle. If making a trip for inspection you will have to go home and bid just like everyone else.

8. Many banks and credit unions do not finance older vehicles and/or with high mileage. If you plan to finance, please make sure your financial institution accepts this aged vehicle and its mileage, and arrange financing before bidding.
9. I cannot accept any bid retractions in the last 24 hours of the auction.

13. Final or closing bid price does not include any documentation, shipping, travel, taxes, title, or registration fees. Buyer is responsible for any applicable title transfer fees, as well as federal, state, or local taxes, personal transportation costs, or shipping expenses resulting from the sale. This means simply if you are out of state you will pay applicable fees in your state

I will also not be held liabile for any future damage or lawsuit for and as a result of selling said vehicle in as is condition.

16. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay, and negative feedback will be posted.
17. Non-paying bidders, unqualified bidding, bid shielding, auction interference, or any type of harassment will be dealt with according to eBay Rules, local law, and may include, but not limited to legal action and applicable fees, loss of deposit, or any other necessary expenses.
18. Placing a bid or offer on this vehicle constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions and acknowledgement that the bidder has read and understands all the information presented. If needed get your better half or the descision maker to read along too so it is alright with them.
Payment Terms
1. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours after the auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours, I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.
2. HALF OF BID PRICE is the deposit and must be received within 48 hours of auction end and will be non refundable.If you plan to pay when you get here this auction is not for you. So please do not make travel plans if the deposit has not been recieved. It doesn't matter if you are located 5 miles away or 5000 miles. The deposit must be made no execptions. This is a serious auction and the terms are to identify deadbeats early on in the process.
3. Final payment must be received within 5 business days after close of auction.
4. Payment can be made by cashier’s check, money order, or by bank wire transfer. I will not accept credit cards or Paypal.
