You are bidding on a 1968 BMW R50. Odometer reads 29,520. I bought it at an estate sale last weekend from a man who was moving. The frame number is 642742 and the engine number is 658556, which I believe is an R69. It has not been running in a few years. Bike is complete, just missing the points cover, he took it off to clean the points and misplaced it, if it turns up I will send it to the buyer. Bike is in good shape. Inside gas tank is like new. I have not cleaned or polished the bike. There is a compartment on the side of the tank that has a tool kit in it. Battery is dead. Has a small ding on the trim ring of the speedometer. I am not too familiar with BMW's. Paint looks original. Rims have some pitting. Has a clear Massachusetts title. Hard to find with the tool kit.
Great bike to get running for spring or to do a total restoration.
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL BE AWAY FROM NOV 24th - DEC 5th. The auction ends on Nov 23rd. If you are local and want to pick up the morning of the 24th, that will be fine, otherwise, bike will have to be picked up after Dec 5th.
