Here I have a restoration project for an enthusiast that’s into that sort of thing. First of all I am selling this off on behalf of my late father; I can recall it being in the family home for 40+ years, however I have no idea when it was acquired or from where.
There was an eBay auction some time ago for such a projector that seemed to be the same but in very much better condition; it was manufactured by W & B & Sons, however I can find no such notation on my piece. I believe it date from the late 19th early 20th century.
I have no idea how to put the bits together, but I hope the photo will provide you with the information you need in order to bid. If you do have any questions please ask and tell me how to find out the answers.
As you’ll see from the picture the tin has rusted and the brass-work need a jolly good polish. The lenses are a bit grubby and dusty but appear intact without cracks.
The item in total weighs, naked, about 6kgs (probably about 8kgs once packed) therefore probably not a feasible purchase for bidders outside the UK, however I am willing to ship overseas if you specify the carrier of your choice and are of course willing to pay the necessary charges.
Please let me know if you have any questions and do take an opportunity to look at my other items for sale. I’m having a big clear-out over the next few weeks and have lots of small, quirky items that need deserving homes. I will of course offer postage discount for multiple purchases.
Happy bidding!
